I have a card that I can't get working in any computer, well I can't find it on I/o 220 or 240 when testing with test-about.exe, even when changing jumpers. So I tough the card maybe broken? But in one computer I get conflict so it seems it's working?

I have another one but components are in different places.

Your computer is probably too fast, and the busy-wait loops in the software don't wait long enough for the DSP to respond.
So the card works probably works fine, but the software doesn't detect it.
It's a common problem. SB Pro isn't recommended in Pentium or faster systems.

It should work in a 486sx25. So in that case it may be damaged, or just dirty (I assume you used the exact same jumper settings as the CT1600 that does work).
Difficult to say.
Cleaning out the edge contacts with some ethanol may be a start?

are you sure there isn't a conflict with an onboard soundcard or something?
