Hey all.
Figured I would share this/get a positive ID on this card. I think I've found info, and a driver pack for it.
Number on back is MT9416, 0000022124+, and 030053.
FCC ID is I38-MMSN811.

Googling this tells me it is made by Aztech. That it's 16bit. I found a downloadable driver pack, which is good. Has a Yamaha chip on it YMF262-M.

I think this would give good audio compatibility for DOS gaming, as I'm told ISA is the way to go for sound. Handing onto it to put into either my Compaq, or possibly another build.
Thoughts?

That's good info on the jumper settings.
Yes, I pulled it from a Packard Bell, from an older 486 machine with a damaged mobo. Other components from it are still good, so if I can find A decent 486 board, I could cobble it all together in a different case perhaps. Options.
Does anyone know if it's Soundblaster or AdLib compliant?

Here's a quick review of the card https://nerdlypleasures.blogspot.ca/2014/04/t … nova-pro16.html (PB just rebranded Aztech Sound Galaxy Cards)

The drivers and software disks can be fetched from the Aztech ftp site still: ftp://ftp.aztech.com/support/DOWNLOAD/sg/NOV16E/

Edit: on second read, that review seems to be for a slightly different model. My bad.

Reading over the review, it seems a decently regarded piece of vintage kit. Glad I pulled it. Of course, I would pull any reusable parts from a blown rig.

The Packard did have a Overdrive 63Mhz CPU in it with integrated cooler. I think the original CPU was a 486SX25. So I'm guessing it would go well in any Intel 486 board.

Got a line on another semi classic tower. Hoping the deal pans out.
