What are differences between two Trident 4DWave soundchips?
I found these more features for NX:

4-Speaker 3D Rendering
S/P-DIF Output
12S (Dual) - what is it?
AC '97 v2.0 Compliant - because 4ch audio?

is it all? I found datasheet only for DX variant

I don't think the DX can load .SF2 sound banks while the NX can (with newer driver versions).
