Yamaha TG300 with the Roland UM-ONE MkII USB cable?

Its connected correctly but nothing from the TG300. The USB cable works great on my other Roland units. Also the demo songs play on the TG300 but nothing when MIDI data is being sent to it from the USB cable. Some setting in the TG300 or a compatibility issue, or ??? 😢

Is the "HOST SELECT" labeled switch set to "MIDI" on the TG300 ?
Is the "CONNECT TO MIDI IN" labeled cable on the UM-ONE connected to the "MIDI IN" labeled port on the TG300 ?

If you are worried about a weird compatibility issue, how about running the UM-ONE to another one of your other Yamaha modules and then running the MIDI thru to the TG300 ? I imagine Yamaha modules should work with each other .

Nice collection you have there, by the way.

Thanks for the compliment on the collection. I just got the TG300 in today and the TG100 is on its way. 😁

I figured it out! I did a factory reset before everything and assumed it would work right after that but it was not. I went back into the menu and saw "INIT ALL" and tried that and it started working. I would assume it would be initialized after a reset but I guess not. Anyway, it's working great now!!
