I am stuffing an Audigy 1 card into a Win98 build, as I read that this was the last card with proper dos drivers. However, the driver CD I got from http://www.vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=397 doesn't seem to contain the "dosdrv" directory people mention, so I think it might be too new. I tried downloading a copy of the dos drivers in three separate zip files from this forum, but double-clicking the setup file in that simply locks up the machine. The card works fine in Windows, but I'd like to reinstall and get the proper driver CD if possible.

Anyone?

I think I have an image of the original driver CD. I'll check when I get home.

I did find an extracted copy of the CD, I think, at ftp://ftp.wsisiz.edu.pl/pub/pc/drivers/creati … digy/sb_audigi/
However, virustotal doesn't trust the exe files in Audio/English/SETUP/Bitmaps claiming a generic Trojan:Win32/Meredrop signature was found.

Either way, the directory structure of this extracted CD, which includes dosdrv, is completely different from the one on the vogonsdrivers.com CD, so there are clearly different editions.

I have zipped and uploaded the ISO of the Audigy CD to my google drive.

Edit: I apparently removed this at some point.

There is a copy of it on archive.org

The one above may only work with the Audigy SE.

I have uploaded the one that I used to have on my Google Drive to archive.org:
https://archive.org/details/SBAudigy

Now on vogonsdrivers as well:

Awesome. And it has the dosdrv directory 😀
If I can make this work, I'll put that file up indefinitely. Also, I'll try to figure out how to submit this edition to vogondrivers.com. Not that it's probably hard, I've just never done it.

Hey great, thanks cyclone3d! Several people have posted threads in search for this lately. (Re: Looking for the original Audigy 1 driver CD with the dos drivers)

Looks like the CD has the exact same suspect executables under \Audio\English\SETUP\Bitmaps, btw.

Yes. I guess I'll decide to trust them. After all, the majority of the AV at virustotal does. I diffed the entire contents, and the only differences are in license text files. The binaries are the same.

CDOEM-E1-EG.
Looks like a cd for an OEM soundcard. And DOS drivers have a windows installer only.
Still better then nothing.
Big tnx.

Thread necro because I uploaded the ISO to arhive.org and vogonsdrivers. See my edited post above for new links.
