Hi All

I came in a possesion of and CMS CT1300A and I was considering using it in my system but I did some research and turns out it wont work in all games - is it true?
Anyway I might consider selling it some time.

I foud some nice review of the card here:

Yes, the Game Blaster/Creative Music System (two names for basically the same card, yay marketing) is the spiritual predecessor of the Sound Blaster, but is in no way compatible with the Sound Blaster.
The Sound Blaster is based on the AdLib card with a Yamaha OPL2 synthesizer, instead of the two Philips SAA1099 chips on the Game Blaster.

The Game Blaster wasn't very popular, and as such wasn't widely supported in games (and sounds nowhere near as good as an AdLib or SB, it's closer to Tandy/PCjr sound, but in stereo).
So it's more of an interesting piece of history than actually a very useful piece of hardware. Great for a collector, not so much for a gamer (on early Sound Blasters you could install the CMS chips, so you could have the best of both worlds).
