are we talking about These small CWD models? I do not get any! soundcard working on that thing!
It has to do with the onboard-lan that I really need. It would be the best Little machine if I get Sound and Lan working on it.

Did you make sure that you put this code in the autoexec.bat file as well?

SET SOUND=C:\SB16

I have tested non-PNP Cards too, 5-7 different soundcards. None is working. I have put a link to the thread here at vogons.

Sorry to wake up an old thread but I had a similar problem with my SB16 (CT1740) and the solution could be useful to others.

In order to get sound from audio CDs in DOS I bought an MPC-2 to JST PH 2.0. But I did not get any sound from the CD (which did produce sound, as tested with an ES1868F).

As it turns out there are two incompatible pinouts for this cable, and I bought the AWE64 version which brings the L and G onto the card's GND pins: https://www.vogonswiki.com/index.php/CD_audio_connectors

Instead of buying a new cable, I managed to gently lift the plastic holders to remove and rearrange the pins on the JST side (see picture) and now everything works perfectly.
