Posted this in another thread but thought it was more appropriate in this category:

Just came across this book on the SB Live!. Have any of you taken a look at this or own it? Just curious how it is and if it is helpful at all?

I have it, its very detailed. There is some sound blaster history in there as well as how to use the Live! cards...I can tell you I don't think I have used it once for a technical reason (setting up the blaster, ect) for what thats worth.

Sorry to necropost but for anyone looking at this book in future: I just purchased this book (pdf version) due to several references here on Vogons and elsewhere. It does go through the evolution of the major releases (Blaster, Vibra, Live, etc) but does not list or reference each distinct model. edit: I think it would be a useful resource for anyone interested in expanding their knowledge of the Sound Blaster beyond what is easily available elsewhere online, but it is not a definitive guide for hardware collectors.
