If the PCB gets a little bit smaller in a future revision, it'll even fit inside a stock DB25 shell. 😀

Could people that have OPL3LPT running, report back if it works fine on their PC's, and tell me which systems you tried ?
It should work fine with the same tools as for OPL2LPT.
(we are working on some OPL3 specific patches for some games)

Hello! I received the OPL3LPT today, but unfortunately the line(power) noise is more audible than the actual FM output (even at full volume). 😢 The line noise is there whether or not the USB power cable is connected to the OPL3LPT. The machine I'm testing on is a Pentium 3/450 MHz machine, the motherboard is an ASUS P2B board. Is there anything that can be done to remove the line noise? I have an OPL2LPT and it doesn't exhibit this problem.

Hi,
do you have a 3d printed enclosure on your opl2lpt ?
--> The description sounds like the ground of the line out is not connected : Maybe the shape of your 3.5mm connector is too thick to fit through the 3d printed enclosure completely ? Maybe you have a different cable to use ?
Could you try the board without the enclosure, and fully insert the 3.5mm connector, see if the problem remains ?
Please let us know if this solves the problem.

All OPL3LPT boards were personally tested by me, on my setup. So I hope this can be resolved. I'm here to help if you have any issue.

I just tried it without the enclosure and it works perfectly! 😀 Thanks for the suggestion; it didn't occur to me that that would be the cause.

I am very glad it is solved.
To use you enclosures, if you don't have a different cable, maybe you can enlarge the hole a bit ?

Alternatively a cheap extension cable can bring an elegant solution ? (for example this 1 euro one)

Thanks for the suggestion! I pushed the 3.5mm connect a bit more closer to the case and that seems to work (for now). If the line noise happens again, I'll just make the hole a bit larger. Thanks for making such wonderful products! 😀

I've added support for OPL3LPT to SBVGM. It can be downloaded from this link: http://www.oplx.com/code/
Some VGM data can be found here: Packs using YMF262

Please enjoy! 😀

I added OPL3LPT support to my user mode OPL3 MIDI driver via inpout32.dll. I don't have an OPL3LPT, so can one of you install the driver to test it?
Here is how to test it.
You need inpout32.dll in C:\Windows
To enable OPL3LPT support, set oplhwsupport environment variable to "-lpt".
Enter the I/O address for the port in hex in the lptport environment variable for example "378".
The source is on github.
https://github.com/datajake1999/OPL3EMU
Edit: If it works, please post a recording of clouds.mid played on the Windows driver.
