I just have not been able to find any drivers for dos. I boot a dos 6.22 floppy and I tried small games like commander keen 4 using just the floppy drive and none seem to recognize that there is anything adlib/sound blaster compatible in the system. I also tried setting standard blaster variables too.

It doesn't require any drivers but you still need to initialize it, try the ones for YMF744:
