One of my lucky (or unlucky) finds. It appears to be missing two huge capacitors (desoldered?), but apart from that looks good. Card is properly initialized by OS and games, but I can't get any sound from it. Is it missing capacitors problem or something else? Does anyone know their nominals?

Probably the missing caps. You should ask this guy on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oo_ky1CRCcU about the caps.

Those capacitors are DC offset removal caps on final output from the amplifier chip. The larger the capacitance the better bass response will be if used with passive speakers. 16V or higher for voltage and 220µF and higher for capacitance, with bigger is better for capacitance (but pay attention to physical dimensions).
