Hello all,

I am building a small retrogaming system based on thin client PC. I've pretty much successful, so I perhaps share some tips with community.

I have, however strange issues with YMF744 card (branded "Cobra") which look like electrical issue:

In the beginning it worked (sort-of) correctly but now:

* I hear buzzing on the out (like ground loop)
* A music can be heard for a brief moment when taking jack out

I use small audio mixer for my retro-gear sound, so I have separate L/R inputs. I found out that when

* one channel is plugged in
* and I short-circuit the other channel (touch signal to ground)
* and I stop shorting - I hear clean nice sound for a brief moment (~ 1 sec).

I have two of these cards, and issue is the same. So perhaps it is not a faulty soundcard...
