I have the following set:

Pentium 233 mmx

256 mb of the frame

PCCHIPS M537 VXPro motherboard

S3 Virge dx

CDRW

The SB AWE 32 CT3900 music card

SB AWE does not detect me. I downloaded the drivers from the creativa site under win98 and nothing.

I also added nothing by hand. Under the care of me, I started the diagnosis and nothing.

I set the jumper to other isa ports. Without results.

The card has some rust, I do not know if it has any connection.

had same issue as you with other clone cards
check bios...pnp os set to yes. assign irqs change automatic and set all to isa. cant remember what more like disable com or ltp

after that win98 really detected the card when loading

Is a nice sound card! Yup, he's right, you have to assign an IRQ to the sound card in BIOS. Probably , u can try assign any unused IRQs like LPT1 or LPT2 . You can try to clean the gold finger of the sound card with eraser as well 😀 😀
