I have a Sound Blaster AWE64 Gold card, which recently decided to give sound only from the right speaker. I tested every other thing (cables, speakers, etc.) and they are all working properly, so the problem is definately with the card. I checked simples things (like TOS connectors' solder quality, electrical connctiviy/shorts on TOS connectors, bulged caps, and such) and they seem ok.

Is that a common problem? Is there a solution?

I'm sad because this is is my last AWE64 Gold, the first one now is completely out of order (it was working and suddenly stopped working - it was not being recognized even by the systems pnp BIOS or SB drivers) and I don't know what happend to it either.

This is the sound card of my most active retro system... 🙁
