I was looking to purchase both a Roland SC-55mkII (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Roland-SC-55mk2-w … -oAAOSwEaNa58cn) and a Roland UM-ONE mk2 USB MIDI Interface (https://www.roland.com/us/products/um-one_mk2/) specifically for use with DOSBox and ScummVM (the former mostly), having grown tired of soundfonts and wanting to hear the 'real thing'. So far, the only thing I'm really unsure about is the power adapter. The product description (and basic common sense) informs me that it uses the standard 'type A' plug common to the US, as opposed to the v-shaped 'type I' plugs that Australia uses. The author of this blog post apparently managed to hook it up with a custom adaptor (most likely this one), but as you've no doubt already noticed, I'm pretty much totally inexperienced with electronics beyond the very bare basics.

While potentially dumb and embarrassing, my question is this: would I be good to go if I bought all three of the products I linked to (the main unit, the USB MIDI adapter, and the custom power adapter), all the while managing not to kill myself in the process?
