Hello VOGONS members!

I just got my Roland SC-88 straight from Japan, and I'm trying to learn how to use it. I have two questions that I hope I can get answered (as stated in the title):

  • Is there a way to enter an "MT-32 mode" on the SC-88, and if so, how?
  • Are there demo songs on the SC-88, and if so, how do you access them?
  • (Bonus) Is there a "test mode" like there is on the MT-32, and if so, how do you access it?

If these questions can be answered, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

The MT-32 mode is called the "CM-64 sound map" on the SC-88.
You can find the SC-88 manual at
http://cdn.roland.com/assets/media/pdf/SC-88_OM.pdf
On page 4-14 it tells how to start the CM-64 sound map.

According to information in this thread
Roland SC-88 Pro demo songs?
the SC-88 did not have built in demo songs.
However there is a link to the demo songs for all Sound Canvas in that same thread (check the post by James-F).
