What do you mean by ESP?

what is your design that promotes clean output?

Grounding, power supply filtering and using as much componets as needed

ESP8266. I have a couple floating around and I think they are reasonably compatible with the ArduinoIDE, so I can probably make them flash an ATmega.

Don't know about ESP8266, but it is doable with Raspberry Pi:

why not simply hook it up to lpt port, using a few resistors ? works even without but for safety..

because you also speak German:

avrdud is packaged into winavr, if you use windows.

If you want and since you're in Germany, too, you could also send me yours (or a blank one from Ebay, etc.) and I'll write it for you.

Has anyone tried the Blasterboard on windows 3.1 (standard mode) using the Soundblaster 2.0 drivers.

When I tried it, the drivers crashed out with a general protection fault. I am just wondering if other people have seen this fault occur. This works perfectly fine with a real SB 2.0.

I use either Linux (RasPi) or macos, and I think I have avrdude already installed on the Mac. At one time I had to program the ATtiny for your PS/2 adapter anyway.

I'll find one way or another to flash the MCU. 😀

i scrolled through all the pages and have a question:

all works perfect, i set DAC to IRQ5

if i set OPL2 to I5, duke3d setup doesn't detect FX sound but music works fine. with DAC, both work.
What am i doing wrong ? can i ADD a jumper to OPL2 on IRQ5 and FM o IRQ7 at the same time ?

what would be best ? what's the difference ? ahhhh D:

i used the sb 2.0 original 4 diskette drivers and juste removed the first entry in the config.sys (gave an error) and only kept ctmmsys iirc

it's a dev thread and the possibility to contribute buy ordering a kit (obviously it's not free...). It's a community project. It's not that he sells his old stuff...that's what was meant in your thread. (you missed the 'php' in your url)

I think you missed this part.

so dan86 with 5 posts including these 2: what is your point ?

I think dan86 is trying to point out that forum administration and moderation have a somewhat nuanced opinion of sales and see no issue in being inconsistent in generally allowing "sweat of the brow" reproduction/etc. projects versus just bulk dump reselling some used third-party gear.

Yes, we do.

And that's not all.

We also generally support Marvin members BIOS dumping and videocard firmware dumping and offering it on VOGONS/VOGONSDrivers to help support upgrade and repair, but do not support offering "ROMz" for Roland products (famously litigious) or for use in other emulators here.

(In addition, we do not recommend that emulator authors bundle their needed firmware, OS's and other software and recommend instead that they distribute just the emulator and leave the software distribution to the users.)

We generally endorse people making full images of driver discs (provided there's no full editions of software/games included with them) or scanning manuals and offering them for download on VOGONSDrivers - even though that's still technically copyright infringement.

We'll permit linking to archive.org for some things (say, a much needed videogame patch) but not for other things (complete commercial versions of videogames).

We love talking about and developing all the compatibility patches needed to make retro videogames work in modern Windows, but forbid the linking to full copies of "abandonware". Nor do we support distributing pre-patched games without having a right to do so: distribute only the files needed to patch the game, and take every action to eliminate software code belonging to the original developers from your patch.

And I personally have been a DOSBox beta tester (back when it was in private beta testing nearly two decades ago) and have worked on the MAME project for over 19 years, I know my way around abandonware and ROM sites (though I haven't needed either for many many years). And the views I held in my earliest posts here are not what they are now.

dan86 - this world isn't as black and white as you want, and is never gonna be.

Point and laugh all you want at hypocrisy, doublethink, or cognitive dissonance - but to be a forum member here, you are going to need to live with it.

You did nothing wrong. IRQ jumper for DAC should always be set in order for digital samples to work. OPL2 IRQ is not required for FM music and can be ignored for a normal card use - I don't know any software that uses OPL2 IRQ. It is included only for hardware compatibility with Thunderboard and Sergey's OPL2 card. So just skip it.
