Hi guys! need your expertise on something. I dug up my old audigy 2 zs and installed it on my tualatin PIII. Windows 98SE recognized the card, installed the drivers, and then... no sound. The creative diagnostics passes the tests fine. I tried the card to my other pc's ranging from PVI 478 to 775 platforms with windows xp and 7 with the same results. The things i checked are:
1. The digital output is off
2. The speakers are connected in the L/R output.
3. I tried 5.1 speaker configuration by connecting my speakers to the rear and the center/sub outputs but no luck.
4. I noticed the when i turn on or off my PC there is no "boom" from the speakers.

Any ideas? Anything on the PCB i could check? The resistors seem fine!

Are you using the VxD drivers or the WDM drivers?
Check this thread
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Windows 98 Driver

In windows 98 i tried the VxD Drivers. In XP and 7 no other choice than WDM.

The weird thing is that no output is working!
