Hi,

Having problems detecting the WaveTable part of a Sound Blaster AWE64 CT4500. It comes and goes. The CTCU.EXE PnP utility detected everything fine until after fiddling around with different settings, it now fails detecting the WaveTable 620 port. All the Audio settings are fine, i.e. base address, irq and dma.

Is the Sound Blaster PnP cards known for having issues with the plug and play?

Card being used is: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/6DYAAOSw0VZbsRGQ/s-l1600.jpg

System specs?
If you are running under DOS 6.22 or earlier, run CTCU.
If you are running from DOS 7.x (Windows 9x), you can then either boot into Windows and let Windows configure your CTPNP.cfg file for you or, you can edit the settings yourself.
The former is preferable, since Windows will then assign the correct settings that are not causing any conflicts.

Running DOS 6.22 and CTCU. Still, the tool is not able to detect the WaveTable 620 port. Also, it's worth mentioning that earlier when 620 was detected, the DIAGNOSE.EXE was play FM music on the WaveTable playback test...!?
