I got a gravis pnp and I want to install some ram on it.
Ebay has different types available and I wonder what are the compatible ones.
Especially 8-chips vs 9-chips that have parity or not.
Does the gus pnp support simm with parity (9-chips) or do I need to go for the 8-chip ones? (9-chips seems to be more spread than 😎.
Any standard unbuffered, 30-pin SIMM that operates at 5V and 70 ns or less should work. The InterWave doesn't specifically support parity memory (the DRAM data bus is only 8 bits wide), but using a parity SIMM shouldn't cause any trouble, if that's all you can find.
