I've never had a problem with these cards in the past but I have one here that looks great - no signs of damage - but it's refusing to play anything out of the right channel. The strange thing is that mixerset seems to know something's up and has the channel slider all the way over to the left for voice - I can change it but the change is never saved.

Anyone have any experience with that? I've tried various versions of the SB16 driver but like I say, I've used these cards in the past with no issues, so I know the drivers are OK. I haven't tried the card in another system - could a hardware conflict be messing with the mixer?

I would have just chucked it out by now but the fact that mixerset sees the issues suggests to me that it's not a simple hardware failure but something more interesting.
