I've been having an issue getting DirectSound working with my SBLive! ct4760, I've tried multiple drivers, and reinstalling win98se, but to no avail. My Audigy 2 in win98 works with direct sound, but only with the WDM drivers. Is the VXD drivers just unable to use direct sound or am I missing something.

Win98se: 1.5GHz P4, 512mb, AiW 7500 agp, SBLive! ct4760
WinXP: 2.4GHz Q6600, 4gb, Quadro FX 3700, Audigy 2 ZS SB0350
Current: Ryzen 5 2600x, 16gb, RTX 2060, HDMI to Yamaha Receiver
Laptop: Lenovo Thinkpad P50, i7 6700HQ, 32gb, M1000M

Yes both Audigy and Live VXDs completely support DirectSound and DirectSound3D.

Which version of DirectX? I suggest 7.0a with Win9x and VXD drivers.

You also might want to use LiveWare 3 drivers.

I've been using 8.1 lately, but ill try and nuke dx and reinstall 7.0a, i'll also try and nuke the drivers and reinstall.
