So I was trying to get a computer working with games on Windows 98 SE. Whenever I launch a game, I get an error message that says, "fail in sound init" I don't know what this means or how to fix it. I've tried getting different drivers, but that didn't solve anything. I tried using the onboard audio, that didn't solve anything. Does anyone know what is happening and how to fix it? Also, when I remove the sound blaster, I stopped getting the notification at startup that says that I need drivers for the PCI Controller. Does anyone know how to solve that too?
