Audigy 2 ZS - no sound in Windows 98

Postby Lazar81 » 2019-4-11 @ 07:29

Hello. I am new here. I did search for my problem. But didn't find something. If there is already a thread I apologize.

I installed a audigy 2 zs in my system (sb0350). Then downloaded the driver cd from vogonsdrivers and ran the installation program. I only installed the drivers and the card produced sound directly after installation. But after reboot it ran a program to complete the installation and now it is silent. And I don't know why. It isn't muted and the sound icon shows up in the taskbar. I tried wdm and vxd drivers.. same result.

Hope someone can help me with this.

Rest of system specs please.

Did you install the motherboard chipset drivers?

Is device manager showing any conflicts?

Hello... Well I solved the problem in the meantime.
I got the card working by following steps. I uninstalled the programs that were installed during autorun setup. After that I searched for the vxd cabinet on the driver cd, extracted the folder and installed them manually in the device manager.
Now everything runs fine.
