I never saw a boxed version of this card and I always wondered what the original box for this card looked like. Does anyone have such a box in their collection? or at least picture of it ? I`m planning to recreate this box but have no idea how it could look like .

Was there even a box with graphics on it?

I certainly can't find a picture of anything other than the card itself even from magazine scans of that time period.

Edit... found some really small/crappy pictures of part of the box:

And here is a super small picture of the front of the box:

More edit:
Slightly better resolution pic of part of the front of the box.

Thank you so much for your help. Now, at least I have some starting point. The back of the box could be

When assessing the size of the card, the box must be 40 x 20 x 15 at least (cm)
the front could be like this maybe

You're welcome. It's kinda sad that there aren't any better pictures online.

Don't forget about this one from the first link. It looks like it is from either the top of bottom skinny edge of the box.

Someone here at Vogons had a boxed Multisound Classic. However, I can't recall who exactly.

Here they are. Top and bottom panel are the same. No info on the side panels. I'll add a very interesting, more comprehensive MultiSound post soon!

Hello, when I took this card into use with Peter Hall's driver under W2K, the first MIDI file I randomly played was "It's a Sin" by Pet Shop Boys and it sounded better than on FM radio. Turns out the melody was actually composed on a rack version of the same hardware (EMU Proteus 1/XR)! As for games, there was about 1-1.5 sec delay in Prboom, thus unusable (tested once just for fun).

BTW, my rev 1.2 card also has some empty/spare RAM sites on the PCB, with just the outline of solder leads present. I wonder if people home-brazed memory expansions onto the card in that old era or did they return them to the manufacturer for upgrade? Did TB save a single cent by omitting those brown RAM sockets you see on e.g. every Tseng VGA card?
