I didn't realize how tall that card was. There are a lot of cases it won't fit in with any of those audio cables connected.

If the case respects the ISA expansion card maximum height, than it should fit: http://www.interfacebus.com/Design_PCAT_Card.html

Maybe. When we were designing the card, we had to choose one of the options:
1. Make it longer than half-size maximum length.
2. Make it taller than usual ISA cards, but within the PC AT maximum height.
3. Throw out the RAM.
4. Put more things on the back side, revert to blind vias between layers and drive the price up to 4 digits.

We chose second option, and the final size was announced loooooong ago, and there even were people who took measures of their intended scenarios and confirmed that everything fitted (albeit with the thinnest margin).

It's an amazing feat of engineering and I absolutely love what you've created, don't get me wrong! I live in an XT case world though...

No problem at all! 😀 Just wanted to clarify a bit on that point.

Meanwhile almost all boxed cards are gone. We have only one left, that has sorta "bubble" on the ISA slot edge connector, it does not affect its functionality nor is it very visible, however we'll offer a discount for the last one - let it be USD 520 per PayPal / 490 USDT. Hurry up!

P.S. We've noticed some unsatisfied demand, as various people asked us to reserve them a board for a month or a bit more. We would be happy to provide as many cards as needed, however the current international isolation of Russia makes it more difficult to achieve this. We are currently looking for new suppliers, and it is very probable that we launch the second batch. It won't be very big either (20-25 boxes at most), and will be final for sure (as we now have some more or less accurate feeling of the demand given the costs). So, if you wanted an AWE64 Legacy but couldn't afford it this time, it's likely you'll get a second chance. Let's hope for the better, that it won't get any worse than it is now.
