What does this intel news mean 7.2019 ?

So what sound card should I have plugged-in today with Win10 and 4.1/5.1 speakers ?
- PCIe Asus Phoebus ROG 7.1 (2012)
- PCIe Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium SB0880 (2008)
- PCIe Sound Blaster Z SB1500 (2013)
- PCIe to PCI adapter and a PCI Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty SB0460 (2008)

*Asus Phoebus sounds excellent in music and movies in Win10.
But I'm thinking if I should use X-Fi for better "gaming environment sounds" ?

*With Sound Blaster Z music and movies sound subpar and surround is kind of not there.

I'm very confused about sound quality, surround, EAX and environment sounds.
