Hi I have an error popping up on boot into Dos 7 (win98 dos mode) after ctcm/pnp initialises - the card still works just fine but this is new and i'm a little concerned. Here is what shows up on boot:

<all the aweutil etc initialises fine. optical drivers load. CTmouse loads>

Creative Plug and Play Configuration Manager (v1.08)
Copyright (C) Creative Technology Ltd., 1995-1997. All rights reserved.

ERROR: Bad Serial ID Checksum (VendorID ce980000) Expected=b5 Actual=0

Then Win98 dos prompt loads.

I did change ISA slots the other day but the resources stayed, and, it works fine after the slot change. It has not shown this message before since changing slot. Changing back to the previous slot still gives the same error.

Any ideas to fix? Am I using the wrong driver? Could the card be dying?

Thanks

I'm not sure what is the best way to troubleshoot your issue, but there's some info here about running CTCM under MS-DOS 7.1:
