Hey I have an ESS ES1898F and I am struggling to find the windows 3.1 and ms-dos drivers for this card does anyone have them or can I use a similar driver to get this card to work.
I don’t think there are Windows 3.1 drivers for Solo-1, but DOS drivers are available here: http://vogonsdrivers.com/index.php?catid=17 This is one of the best PCI sound cards in terms of DOS compatibility.
The ES1898F is neiter PCI, nor is it a Solo-1...
For DOS, ESSCFG and ESSVOL from any other 18xx card should work. For Windows 3.x, you can just install the built-in drivers for Sound Blaster.
