Some time ago, I bought one of these. Given Google doesn't have much to say on the matter, I wondered if any experts here might know anything about this rare mod 😀

Yeah, but that's not the same as people using it and having a concrete idea of the difference. Like MT-32 rev 0 versus rev 1, it's easy to say "one is quieter" or "one has compatibiity issues", versus specifics like "rev 1 breaks certain games with certain effects, and vibrato in SQ3".
