I recently got a Maxi Sound 64 Home Studio sound card.
On paper it seems like almost a little brother to the mighty Terratec EWS64, using the same SAM9407 chip.
I've been trying to add a SIMM module to it, but regardless of which module I am trying (FPM, EDO, 4MB, 16MB) it doesn't seem to register it.
According to the Maxi Sound software, there is only 26.8KB memory free, which I guess is free space from the 4MB of onboard memory.
Both regular wave playback and midi playback works just fine, so I don't think there's anything wrong with the card.
Does anyone have the user manual for this card (This is the non-pro version, using Crystal chip for SB compatibility) and would be willing to provide a pdf?
Anyone know if these cards are very picky about what kind of RAM module you install?

Any fellow Guillemot Maxi Sound 64 users who might be able to provide some assistance with this problem?

Yes, I made sure to set the jumper in the appropriate position for each of the RAM modules I tested.

And the lesson is: double check. There are of course two jumpers that need to be set, but my card was missing one of the shorts, so once a new was installed, it seems to detect the installed SIMM.
