Hello!

Does anyone know where I can find the Windows 98 drivers for the ESS Maestro-2? Specifically the Maestro-2M.

According to this old archived page I need drivers for the ES1968.

I can't seem to find them anywhere, not even Vogons' driver collection.

Would be nice to have the Win2000/NT drivers too.

On a side note: my ESS Maestro-2M is integrated on my motherboard. I managed to get it to work in DOS/Windows 3.11 as a full Sound Blaster Pro 2.0 compatible (installing the SBPro 2.0 drivers in Win 3.11 works and it thinks its a proper SBPro). Every game I've tried with it so far has worked flawlessly with no TSR loaded (even Duke 2 plays PCM). However, sound is distorted because it's being pumped out too loud. The SBPro 2.0 mixer works for PCM but not FM. PCM can be tamed but shutting off the FM completely is a goal of mine.

Does anyone know if there's any documentation for MAESTRO.COM in terms of optional parameters to adjust the volume? Or is that in the MSTRINF.INI file that I can't seem to find anywhere?
