Hi Guys,

Even though the Korg NS5R has a Wavetable header to add daughter boards, I read the PSU can be kind of weak on them and certain boards can cause issues.

I was thinking of adding my HOMAC board into it. Has anyone done this or know if it won't cause issues?

Thanks

I've used DreamBlasterX2 in mine for years, but it uses very little power. The manual for the Korg lists the power limits. If you have another way of using the daughterboard you can just use a meter to measure power draw.

Modules: CM-64, CM-500, SC-55MkII, SC-88 Pro, SY22, TG100, MU2000EX, PLG100-SG, PLG150-DR, PLG150-AN, SG01k, NS5R, GZ-50M, SN-U110-07, SN-U110-10, Pocket Studio 5, DreamBlaster S2, X2, McFly, E-Wave, QWave, CrystalBlaster C2, Yucatan FX, BeepBlaster

I'm using a Yamaha DB50XG in my Korg NS5R and have never experienced any issues. I'm quite certain that the HOMAC will work just fine, as it's a more integrated design than the DB50XG and will probably draw less power.
