Hi all,

I've just recently installed a Dreamblaster S2 MIDI Wavetable card to my ISA ESS AudioDrive ES1868F Card. It sounds fantastic in Windows but noticed in DOS it sounded the same. Upon further inspection, all of my Midi settings for games were "Sound Blaster" I've since changed them to General Midi on 330 but get no music. It works perfectly in Windows and can hear a clear difference with the Wavetable card. No matter what game, I get no Midi sound Unless I select Sound Blaster - which obviously bypasses the MPU in DOS. Running Windows 95/DOS 7.1

The machine is a DOS games machine, it's default is to boot to DOS, However, if I boot into Windows and reboot into MS DOS Mode, I get music from General Midi and all games work.

The Card in question is here...

I believe I've configured the Autoexec correctly using the switches.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think the "A" parameter of ESSVOL.EXE stands for AuxB which is used for the wavetable header.

In your case, try changing A:0 to A:8. You might also want to add P330 to your BLASTER variable.
