There are a lot of 512kb ROM implementations of the QS1000 chipset around and they sound pretty awful IMO, but the 2MB implementation like the McQub sound great 👍

I actually didn't mind the 512KB sound, it wasn't wannabe Roland like as I recall and sounded pretty decent for what it was, while the 2MB is really trying to be another Roland like the Crystal things. I wonder what the 1MB version is like...
