The Fandom wiki says that this is a "SB Pro with FM Synthesis".

https://dos.fandom.com/wiki/BLASTER_Variable

Don't all Sound Blaster Pros have FM synthesis in the form of an OPL chip?

I'm interested in an explanation and how this option might affect my Sound Blaster 2 Pro (CT1600) when set it T4 or T5.

There are so many conflicting versions on that T number.

T1 is always first Sound Blaster 1.x and T6 is all the 16BIT capable Sound Blasters.

But with other numbers, things get tricky.

T2 is really the first Sound Blaster PRO not Sound blaster 1.5.

T3. IS really Sound Blaster 2.0

T4 is the Sound Blaster PRO 2.

T5 is somehow offered in some games literature and some sources as Sound Blaster PRO 2. Some say it is the MicroChannel version.

So there are some conflicting information.

But that fandom wiki is WRONG.

PS. Some crazy literature even says that Sound Blaster McroChannel is T10 😁

I am aroused about any X86 motherboard that has full functional ISA slot. I think i have problem. Not really into that original (Turbo) XT,286,386 and CGA/EGA stuff. So just a DOS nut.
PS. If I upload RAR, it is a 16-bit DOS RAR Version 2.50.

You can find more details about the BLASTER variable here:
Re: SoundBlaster Environment variables question

Apparently, that info was taken from available documentation (various sources are listed in that thread). It's stated there that T5 means SBPro 2.0 Microchannel.

LGR had some issues with a Sound Blaster for Microchannel remake in a video he did. He lauded the automatic configuration and I didn't any output with SET BLASTER on his monitor. I wonder if it would have made a difference.
