Hello,

I am having recently issue with my Roland CM-64. when i first got it, it was working properly and sound was clear.

But now when i open it, even without anything playing on it, it does have a loud noise and not sure where to look at for this kind of issue.

I have a video i uploaded here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_X1qs3KFKU8

When i play a game, i can hear the music but it is very silent and if i turn the volume knob up, i still cannot hear the music clearly because of the noise been louder.

Thanks

First thought is that the volume knob tends to go bad over time. I have seen 2 different 64s over the years with bad knobs. If you wiggle the knob vertically and find a "sweet spot" that fixes the issue, it's the knob.
