Hello, I have a windows 98 se PC with a d865pcd motherboard. I been having a lot of weird issues with my vortex 1 sound card. If I close out a dos window prematurely when it tells me do I want to exit the program it locks up my whole PC and gives me a bsod vxd vmm error if I have the MPu-401 device enabled in device manager when I disable it it doesn't freeze it's not a big issue because I don't have a Roland or midi device connected. Now my most annoying problem is when I play midi files I get a static/ crackling sound sometimes its not as noticable on different midi files. My driver version is 1189. I had another mother board that I tested the card on and I still got a crash when the mpu-401 was enabled. I have done a lot of research and different drivers and I am not sure what to do.
