The setup of MIDI devices I have, are all turned up to full, and yet the output to my speakers could do with being louder.

I'm happy to hunt for a new or second-hand preamp/amp from the usual places.

I just need to know the names of some known good ones, that don't take up much space and don't break the bank.

I've looked at the Yamaha UW500, but I'm not sure if it acts as an Amp or not?

Does anyone have some good recommendations?
