I have a few MIDI files that don't play well under DOS but play fine under Win98. For instance, I have attached one (I know, it's a silly one) that plays as if the tempo is constantly changing.

Scenarios where it doesn't play well:
* In pure DOS, playing with DOSMID or GSPLAY, using MIDI port on onboard SBPro2 / YMF719 / YMF744 / AWE64 / CT2800, connecting to SC-7 / SC-50
* In pure DOS, playing with DOSMID or AWEPLAY, connecting to Synth on the AWE64

Scenarios where it does play well:
* In Win98, playing with WMP, using MIDI port on Audigy, connecting to SC-7 / SC-50
* In Win98, playing with WMP, connecting to the Synth on the Audigy

Any ideas why that would be?
