I bought two Sound Blaster AWE32s and a Sound Blaster 32 recently. This is when I found that there were several revisions of the EMU8K, some that get hot and some that do not. I also learned of the EMU8K v2, which I found in my Sound Blaster 32. It was identified as such by Unisound.

Is there anything uniquely special about this chip or is it still the same pinout and function as the old chip?
