Hi,
I'm unable to get the CD drive digital output to work on my Pentium MMX PC.
I've connected the 2-pin cable both to the CD drive and to the motherboard header (https://imgur.com/a/MHQQsCZ) but, when playing on Windows 95, I get no sound.
I've tried with every combination with the cable, connecting it to J6 and J7 (https://imgur.com/a/5imLuxx) on the motherboard but the result was the same.
What I'm doing wrong?
The sound card is an integrated CMI8330.

Thanks in advance

Hi, by "digital" do you mean SPDIF or playback via IDE cable?
Afaik, Windows 98SE/XP had the new ability to stream CD-Audio data via IDE/ATAPI.

SPDIF.
I would like to play games like Quake 2 with the CD music.
