Hey all, I am looking to add a DreamBlaster to my AWE64 and have been looking at both the CHiLL and Phil Adapter as well as the CHiLL III as potential solutions. The CHiLL III, although more expensive, seems alluring to me since I could use it as a full MIDI interface for other purposes down the road.

Would it be possible to use the CHiLL III to provide the same functionality as the CHiLL and Phil Adapter if I used a DIN MIDI to gameport cable to connect to my AWE64, and then a RCA to 3.5mm cable to connect the line out to the line in on my AWE64?

Thanks!

Awesome - thanks!

One more question: is it possible to connect the ChiLL III to a modern (Windows 10/11) computer using a USB to MIDI adapter, similar to the functionality of connecting a bare DreamBlaster X2/GS to a modern computer using the USB MIDI in?

Of course. Chill3 is basically just a standard MIDI module with swappable guts.
