I have two Terratec 128i cards, one is a TTSOLO1-S which is a boxed retail card, and the other is a TTSOLO1-SL which is apparently an OEM card.

The SL version has the SB-Link header but no Wavetable header, and vice versa for the S version.

Internet collective wisdom is that you can just add these headers and they will work, as the cards are fully populated regardless.

Except, they are not.

On my card, the SL version lacks R19 but the S version has it populated. I checked online and all photos I came across had the exact same difference. Interestingly enough, the R19 resistor seems to be a pickup resistor for the microphone jack and completely irrelevant to SB-Link or Wavetable headers, but I found it curious that there is a disntinction between the two versions..

Has anyone else previously noticed this? Have you tried adding an SB-Link header to an S version and confirmed it to work without R19?
