Hi all,

I have an Aztech Sound Galaxy BX II that's OEM in a Packard Bell Legend 245. MIDI playback works, kinda sloppy but it works. Wave playback though doesn't work. When it's supposed to play a sound, I either hear a little pop or it throws an error in Windows. DOS games simply crash. I ran the test program, and it reads "Error on DMA". Windows sometimes reports that the device is already in use, sometimes it shows no error but doesn't play any sounds either. When starting Windows, I do hear the light pop of the sound card initializing.

The card is not PnP and the DMA is set to 1. This can't be changed through jumpers, either. I checked and no other devices are using IRQ 5 and DMA 1.

Would anyone have any idea what may be causing this?
