Hi all. I recently purchased an Aztech Sound Galaxy Wave Power daughter card, and faced the following problem: this card is not always detected on board the sound card, and I have to restart the computer. Problem number 2: when I try to run the game in a DOS environment, I immediately get a stuck note, and this does not depend on the sound card.
Problem 3: In WIndows98, I can only hear sound from this card in SB Pro mode, i.e. mono.
Those who have such a card, can you check for all three problems that I face?
I found an article that describes the stuck note issue on this map and that this map is not suitable for DOS games

Hi there,
I have a small amount of info on DOS Days about this here:
http://dosdays.co.uk/topics/wavetable_audio.php
and do a search for 'Wave Power'.

Bear in mind it's 3rd-party info, so not my own findings.
It would be useful to know what sound card you have the Wave Power connected to, as the card doesn't like running in DOS on some Aztech cards like the NX Pro 16. Apparently the problem was fixed by the time the Sound Galaxy Pro 16 Extra came out.

Thanks for the info on the stuck note - as and when you find more details, I'd be keen to learn.

Another note.... since the Wave Power DB is essentially the OTTO wavetable synth from an Ensoniq SoundScape, I wonder if the same scenario can be reproduced on my SoundScape VIVO (which is exactly that).
If you can tell me what drivers you are using I will try to reproduce your problem using my card.

I have a VIVO90 card and the sound from it can also be heard on my YouTube channel (search by nickname Jccwu, account Hustler). VIVO90 is also a problematic card, but unlike Wave Power, it has no problems with a stuck note and it sounds stereo.
These cards sound different
