How difficult would it be to get an Ensoniq Soundscape Vivo running alongside a Soundblaster 16 or 32? I want to use the soundscape midi port as it mimics intelligent mode for many games but do not want to use its terrible Soundblaster implementation.

First of all reserve ISA IRQ/DMA in your BIOS for Ensoniq
Next - set up your config.sys and autoexec.bat
Examples on my screenshots (just unREM Ensoniq section)

In this case it installed VIVO as 220/5/1/330 device (with Ensoniq functionality) and secondary soundcard as 240/10/0/320 soundblaster compatible.

my motherboard only has 1 isa slot, but i don't see why not with the vivo90. i seem to recall you initialize it in either sbpro or wss mode. keep in mind that ssinit.com requires emm386 and must load into the first 4mb of xms memory. the alternative ssnoemm.com doesn't initialize the onboard wavetable, but i have no idea where that leaves the mpu-401 port so could be interesting.
