I have a CMI8738 sound card that's playing audio way too slowly in 98SE.
Like if I play the 2 second asterisk.wav file it comes out distorted and takes about 20 seconds to play it.
The thing is, for the first few seconds after boot, the 98SE startup sound plays normally and then the OOBE starts and then the audio is distorted.
Any idea what the cause of this could be?
For anyone curious, My motherboard is an ASRock QC6000M.
MB: ASRock B550 Steel Legend
CPU: Ryzen 9 5950X
RAM: Corsair 64GB Kit (4x16GB) DDR4 Veng LPX C18 4000MHz
SSDs: 2x Crucial MX500 1TB SATA + 1x Samsung 980 (non-pro) 1TB NVMe SSD
OSs: Win 11 Pro (NVMe) + WinXP Pro SP3 (SATA)
GPU: RTX2070 (11) GT730 (XP)
