Greetings
I made some records from few sound blaster 16 cards with OPL-CT1747, OPL-YMF262 and OPL-YMF289.
I didn't really find any difference in the midi sounds but what i can say about quality, ct2290 best of the best. Be careful GUS fans you might be join our party 😀

PC specs
Pentium 3 500mhz
AB-BH6 intel 440BX

psss. i am little surprised the hanging bug didn't sound, example in doom.
