I have a Sound blaster AWE32 (model CT3910)

I want to install this card in DOS 6.22 and use the onboard IDE interface for installing CDROM Drive.
Everything is installed in a AMD 486DX2/66 with 16MB of RAM.

What sounddriver (diskette) should i download to make the card work in DOS? An installation disk would be nice, so i don't have to make my own settings in autoexec.bat and config.sys
What CDROM driver is the best to use?
Do i have to change/make settings to make the IDE Interface work?

Thank you in advance 😀

Use a recent version of the basic sound blaster drivers, distributed as self-extracting ZIP archive called SBBASIC.EXE. It extracts an installation program,

that handles all necessary adjustments to those config files.

The IDE interface on the CT3910 is controlled by jumpers only. To enable it, make sure that the IDEDIS jumper near the IDE port is not set. There is a table printed on the card that instructs you how to set the IDEIO0 and IDEIO1 jumpers. If you only have a single IDE channel in that system yet, I recommend you to use the default "secondary channel" base address 170h. Set IDEIO0 and don't set IDEIO1 for that. The conventional IRQ used in conjunction with base address 170h is IRQ15, so set the IDEIRQ jumper to the position labelled "15".

In my experience, any usual DOS IDE CD driver just works, so I can't recommend a specific one.
